1. Safety Officers
- At least 2 safety officers are required to get our club activated. These individuals need first aid and cpr/aed certification. I would like at least 5. Email
psupowerclub@hotmail.com to inquire about being a safety officer.
2. Officer Training
- Elected officers will have to complete an officer training session every April designated by the Club Sports department. Please contact club sports for available dates.
3. Advisor
- The club is required to have a faculty/staff member be the advisor of the club. Currently our advisor is Dr. Wayne Desarbo
wsd6@psu.edu. Please contact Dr. D at the beginning of every academic year to fill out paperwork.
4. Coaches
- At least one coach is needed to be activated. This person can be an experienced member of the club, but must be safety certified with first aid and cpr/aed.
5. Liability Waivers
- Each and every member of the club must fill out a waiver and have it turned into myself or one of the other club officers. The club needs a minimum of 10 full time students to have waivers on file. If this is not done you may not participate in any club events. Copies are available to print at clubs.psu.edu/up/powerlifting/join.html
6. The club will be voting every spring for the following years officers. Those elected must attend the officer training class at the end of April or else they will not be an officer for the following year.
7. Last but not least the club will need drivers to go to events and competitions. Email
psupowerclub@hotmail.com to inquire about being a registered driver for the team. (need drivers license and copies of valid registration and insurance.)

Once all of these steps are completed the club will be activated and ready to begin working together as a team.
